The book was in excellant condition however I just think I ordered the wrong book.
Josephus was a Jewish historian within the first century. The purpose of this is to provide further evidence for what we know as true, but it will not bring someone to Christ alone.If you are just reading for a historical viewpoint, it is one of the best you'll find around. One of the best resources that I have found outside of the Bible that contains accurate historical data. This is a great historical resource to use in your biblical studies or apologetic reasoning's.

The book is a HUGE bargain. Not only this, but Josephus' "Antiquities" relates facts, found heretofore only in the Bible, concerning almost all of the characters in Sacred Scripture. The"Works of Josephus" is the most amazing book I have seen regarding ancient and Biblical history by a man who lived from 38 to 100 A.D., and who was actually living in Jerusalem when it was destroyed in 70 A.D. by the Roman army. His "Wars of the Jews" narrates the Maccabean revolts and notes (to a lesser extent) Jesus and His apostles, the fall of Masaba, etc.
She was amazed that you can find such good quality, inexpensive second hand items, and excellent customer service on line. Got this book for my mother, she was delighted it came quickly, used but excellent condition and with a thank-you card from the vendor. Thanks.
